Brian has never had a dog of his own. My dogs adore him, but it isn't the same as having your own four footed buddie. When my friend Jayne moved back to California she left her female collie Amiee behind for a short time, and Brian became attached. However Amiee was her favorite and as soon as she was moved she came to pick her up. The quest was on for a dog for Brian.
I thought our little girl Pomeranian, Tara, would be Brian's dog. She does love him, but she is more attached to me, and not really Brian's style either.
While at an Alpaca club meeting we met some people who raise Komondors. Brian had never seen one, so we went home and I looked them up on the internet to show him. He said "THAT'S the dog I want. So now we knew what he wanted, but they are very rare and also very expensive.
Our new friends Janet and Steve emailed us an item on Craig's list, regarding Pygora goats, and a 12 week old Komondor. I made the phone call, and this time the pup was in our price range. We made a trek to look at two of their dogs. They had a year old male who is more likely to be a livestock guardian, and the 12 week old, who is more people oriented.
This was to be Brian's dog so I stayed back and let him make all the first moves. The 12 week old and Brian hit it off immediately, with the help of a piece of hotdog, and it was obvious within a few minutes that this was to be Brian's dog.
So meet Misty Moonlit Maxamillion. Yes, it's a long name, but he's going to be a big boy and quite able to handle such a long name. We'll call him Max for short. This photo was taken after he had his first bath, which he handled quite well.

Here is Max enjoying his chew toy. When Brian first gave it to him he didn't know what to do, but he soon figured it out.
Max is already a great ranch dog. He followed Brian around on his feeding chores his first night home, and didn't chase a thing, just observed the routine. He also kept an eye on all the livestock, we believe he was making a mental note as to who is who and will be watching over them.
As he grows we will add more photos, so keep checking back on the adventures of Maxamillion.

Here he is, bigger and better. Giving dad a hug. And just imagine, he isn't full grown yet.
